Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Paayos ToolBox. They explain what we do, what we don't do, and who is responsible for what when a job goes through the platform. Please read them — particularly the sections on escrow and liability.

Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Philippine law. If you register as a tradesperson, you must be legally permitted to do the work you offer — including holding a current licence for any trade where the law requires one.
One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
What we are, and aren't
Paayos ToolBox is a marketplace. We connect customers who need repair or construction work with tradespeople who do it, we verify those tradespeople before they can quote, and we hold payment in escrow until the work is confirmed. That is the extent of our role.
We are not:
- The contractor. We do not perform the work, supervise it, or guarantee its quality. The contract for the work is between you and the tradesperson.
- The employer. Tradespeople on the platform are independent contractors, not our employees. They choose which jobs to quote on and set their own prices.
- An insurer. We do not provide insurance for damage or injury arising from work booked through the platform.
Our verification checks confirm identity and licensing. They are a meaningful filter, and they are not a warranty — verification is not a promise that any particular job will be done well.
If you post a job
- Describe the work accurately. Quotes are based on the scope, photos, and access conditions you provide. A quote given against an inaccurate description is not binding on the tradesperson.
- You choose who does the work. We show you quotes; the decision and its consequences are yours.
- Confirm honestly.Confirming completion releases payment. Don't withhold confirmation on work that was actually done, and don't confirm work that wasn't.
- Provide safe access. You are responsible for giving the tradesperson safe and lawful access to the site at the agreed time.
If you do the work
- Your credentials must be genuine and current. Submitting a false ID or an expired or borrowed licence means permanent removal, and we will report it where the law requires.
- Quote in good faith. Your quote should reflect the scope as described. If you arrive and the real scope differs, raise it through the app before proceeding rather than revising the price after the fact.
- Only take work you are qualified to do. Do not quote on regulated work without the licence for it.
- You are responsible for your own work. That includes compliance with applicable building and safety rules, your own tools and materials, and your own tax obligations on what you earn.
- Mark completion honestly. Marking a job complete asks the customer to release money. Only do it when the work is finished.
Payments and escrow
Payment for a job runs through escrow, in this order:
- The customer accepts a quote and pays the quoted amount by GCash, Maya, or card.
- We hold that payment. It is not released to the tradesperson, and it is not ours to spend.
- The tradesperson does the work and marks the job complete.
- The customer confirms the work, and the payment is released to the tradesperson less our commission.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, not by us directly. Their terms apply to the payment transaction itself, and payment method availability depends on them.
Pay through the platform. Arranging payment outside the app removes the escrow protection for both sides — and if you do it to avoid commission, we may suspend the account.
Our commission
We take 15% of the job amountfrom the tradesperson's payout when payment is released. The customer pays the quoted amount and nothing more; the commission comes out of the tradesperson's side, not on top of the customer's.
There is no fee to create an account, list a profile, or submit a quote. If we change the commission rate we will give notice before it applies to new jobs; jobs already funded in escrow keep the rate in force when the quote was accepted.
Cancellations
Before a quote is accepted, either side can walk away freely — a posted job can be cancelled and a quote can be withdrawn.
Once a job is funded and scheduled, tell the other party through the app as early as you can. Where a funded job is cancelled before work begins, the held payment is returned to the customer. Where work has partly been done, contact us and we will look at what was completed rather than applying a blanket rule.
Disputes
Talk to each other first — most disagreements are a misunderstanding about scope, and the in-app chat is the record of what was agreed.
If that fails, either side can raise a dispute. The payment stays held in escrow while we review it. We will look at the job description, the photos, the quote, and the messages, and we may ask both sides for more. We will then decide how the held payment is handled.
Our decision is administrative, not judicial. It settles what happens to the money we are holding. It does not extinguish any legal right either of you has to pursue the matter elsewhere.
Conduct
Don't do these things:
- Impersonate anyone, or use someone else's ID or licence.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone on the platform.
- Post reviews that are fake, paid for, or written about a job that never happened.
- Use the platform to arrange work that is illegal, or that requires a licence you don't hold.
- Attempt to break, scrape, or overload the service.
Liability
The work itself is between you and the other party. Our responsibility is limited to operating the platform: matching, verification, escrow handling, and dispute review.
To the fullest extent Philippine law allows, we are not liable for the quality, timeliness, or safety of work performed, for property damage or personal injury arising from a job, or for indirect or consequential losses. Where we are found liable in connection with a particular job, our liability is limited to the commission we took on that job.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud or for our own wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
Suspension and closure
You can stop using Paayos ToolBox at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, submits false verification documents, or puts other users at risk. Where a suspension affects a job with money in escrow, we will resolve that payment before closing the matter.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
